Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas! We may have been short on money this year but we were not short on the Christmas spirt. We were even inspired to help spread the spirt by helping Santa help make Christmas better for a dear family we love.We were trying to help bless others but in the end we ended up feeling like the ones who were blessed the most. I LOVE CHRISTMAS!

Dress up

I thought that Alex and Ry were past the years that they enjoyed playing dress up. I guess I was wrong. I snapped these hilarious pictures of my goofy children the other night. In the first pic Ryann is dressed up as Alex, next is Alex-what can I say about that one? He ran down to get a hat and I had to take a picture. That is one to be proud of.They had a good time and when they were done they asked if the pics were blog worthy, No doubt they are.

A trip to see Santa Claus

Few days before Christmas
we

finally made it to see Santa. As you can see from the picture Alex and Christopher thought Santa was pretty cool. Brie on the other hand thought that we were not very good parents for handing her over to some fuzzy man in a big red suit. Once she was back in my arms and he gave her a sucker she seemed to think life was good again.

Party girl

Here are a few

pictures from Brie's first birthday. Her favorite thing was her cake and her favorite gift was a push toy from Purple. Now if she could only get Christopher to let her use it.

turning one

Tomorrow my sweet little baby girl will be one. I love watching her cute little personality come out more as she is growing and at the same time it is sad because she is my last baby. I sure love my Christmas surprise from last year but at the same time I sure hope that I get something different this year. I love you Miss B!

Buckeyes

On Monday our family made buckeyes for Christmas. It is a fun family tradition that we try to do every year. All of the kids really enjoy making them. This year even Christopher was able to help. However we gave him his own bowl . He made very original looking buckeye's. They are only slightly prelicked.

Christmas Party

Last Saturday we went to church for a Christmas party. It was a lot of fun. Ryann and Alex participated in the Nativity. It is hard to believe that Christopher will get to participate next year. We have been really trying to help the children to focus this year even more on the true spirit of Christmas. This was a really good opportunity for them to think about why we Celebrate Christmas. The kids also got to make little gingerbread houses. Ryann and Christopher really got into making their house's.Alex worked for about 2 1/2 min. before he ran off to play with friends. Christopher had so many mini marshmallows I am surprised his house did not cave in. Ryann's house was really cute but unfortunately it hit the gym floor before we left.We had a great time.

Well Child check up

Christopher had his well child check last week. He was not feeling that well due to his infection. He weighed 23lbs and 5oz which is not on the charts. The good news is he has gained back most of the weight that he lost after surgery. His height is 33 and a fourth inches, also not on the chart. He is small but mighty.

Thanksgiving

On Thanksgiving day we went to dinner with John's family.Dinner was good and the company was better. On the Saturday after Thanksgiving we always go to my sister's house for our family thanksgiving. After dinner we went to the Holiday kick off celebration in downtown Springfield. It was cold but fun.

Alex's baptism

On Sunday Alex was baptized and and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. He was so proud to be baptized and to wear his new suit. We love you Alex!

Happy 3rd Birthday Christopher!

Christopher turned three on November 25. We celebrated his day at Chuckie Cheese. He was feeling a little under the weather due to an infection he was fighting off. We didn't know at the time that he had an infection you could just tell that he was not feeling well. I am happy to say that he is doing much better now. He is pretty much back to his old self and walking on his own.

On Brandon's 18th birthday John Graduated with his master in Pharmacology/Toxicology. It was a long road that he started a few months after we found out that I was pregnant with Christopher. We are so proud of him for all his hard work. He still is finishing up his Thesis but that will be done by Dec.22.

Brandon is 18!

Yesterday was Brandon's 18th birthday. My sweet baby boy is now an adult, sort of. I am so grateful that I am his mother. I think that he likes having me as a Mom, except when we put silly hats on him and sing to him in public.(We do this about once a week) He is a great kid and loved very much! Those eighteen years went way too fast. The kids enjoyed Brandon's leftover's.
