The poor bug!

Brandon was not home when the storm hit but his precious bug was.We sent these pics to him and informed him that his bug had been hit by the neighbors falling tree and a window was broken.Little did he know that John was putting the limb on his bug and not taking it off.The joke went better then I thought and the boy was trippin out.He kept calling every five min. to ask another question. At one point I told John that we may need to throw a limb through the window just so that he would not be tick at us for messing with him. When he got home he said that he analysed the pictures we sent and knew that we were messing with him. Sure you did son, was that after you called the national guard to protect your car from vandals.

Hurricane in Ohio? day 1

The winds hit when we were in church and by the time we got home trees were blowing everywhere and the electricity was out. The kids had never seen anything like it before and were fascinated by the whole thing. As you can see by the pictures they were not afraid. We all stayed on the porch for a long time just watching the winds blow. And they blew and blew. Tree's were falling, leaves were blowing and my kids wanted to be out there in the middle of all of it.

first day for Trey

Christopher had his first day of preschool today. We have been talking it up for a long time but when the day came he was still a little unsure about the whole thing. Due to all of his health issues he has not really been away from us.The preschool is set up for little guys just like Christopher.

He was really sad when I left so Brie and I hung around the school to make sure that he would be ok. (Brie found a cute little chubby baby in a mirror that she really liked.) We waited in the lobby for about a half an hour and then we hung out in the car for another 15 min. You would never guess that I have already had three children before him to go to school. I love this school and I hope that he will too.

Ryann is playing volleyball this year. She had her first game this Saturday. She is tall and thin so she looks the part. She is playing on a league that teaches them how to play and next year she plans to play for her middle school. GO RYANN!

Silly Christopher

I just felt like blogging about Trey today. That kid just makes me laugh. The first picture is of Trey's fortune out of a fortune cookie. As you can see he ate part of it before he realized that it was in there. He was pretty disgusted that someone put paper in his cookie.

The second picture is of Trey in a time out. This is his official time out spot because he can't get down. Hey, whatever works.

The last two pictures are just of Trey helping to make banana bread. He was so happy to be able to help but it made him really sad that it took 45min to cook. He kept checking the oven every few min. to see if it was done. He squealed with delight when the timer went off.( doesn't everyone cook topless or is that just in our house?)

Now that's a bug

We were out and about yesterday when we saw this praying mantis. It was so cool. I have never seen a real one before. Alex and I checked it out for a long time and it checked us out. They are almost dog like the way they turn their head and look at you.Of course Alex wanted to take it home for a pet but when it tried to fly at me I took that as an aggressive move so he stayed where he was.

WOW!!!!!

We decided to redo Ryann's room so that it would be ready for us to sell our house. I have been watching a lot of the home improvement shows on tv so I had a lovely vision in my head of what the room would end up looking like in the end. Ry picked out a new comforter set and we went to home depot to get the paint. She picked a color and we bought a small can to paint one wall to see how it would look.I was unsure if the color would be to dark but it looked really cute. One problem was it didn't totally match the comforter so I tried to match it up with the comforter a little more. I tried to stay with in the same hue(John said that is that right word) This time I just got a big can because I thought that it was not that different. My first clue that maybe this was not going to work the was way it looked in my head is when the homey depot guy gave me the paint he said have fun with your fluorescent green paint. Ok in my defense this was not what the color looked like in the store. And yes we painted the whole room because I was hoping that it would lighten when it dried, yea no such luck. I would of kept it if we were staying but we are not so I had to repaint. I will post pictures when we are done.
