The ablity to laugh at ones self saves the soul!

Everyone has a Rough Day now and then. Right now my seem to be going back to back. Hopefully this means a string of good days in my future.

Christopher spilled this lovely Paint all over the tile floor! It was a disaster! I was just getting ready to stop working to take Brandon to the doctor's when this happened. Oh the joy that is my life sometimes. Christopher climbed the ladder and kind of knocked the whole thing over. I was so upset as I was attempting to clean up this most recent mess.

I was ready to just give up and was doing my best to not put the babies out in the yard with the dog! I finally got most of it cleaned up and went upstairs to change. I had paint on my arms and legs and then I looked in the mirror! Brandon said that I sounded like a crazy woman because I was laughing so hard. I had paint hand prints all over my face. I had put my hands on my face over and over again when I was stressing out over getting the paint up. I looked like a crazy woman. I am so grateful to Heavenly Father for the ability to laugh at myself because after that it suddenly did not seem like the end of the world as it had a few minutes before.

pinewood derby

Alex participated in his first Pinewood derby this year. A friend of ours help Alex cut it out since John was not here to help. Brandon and Alex gave it this sweet paint job.

Although his car did not win he had a fun time and got plenty of ideas of how to improve his car next year.

Brie and Vi

While we are waiting for our new back door to come in our door is boarded up. Brandon decided to cut a dog door out and well Brie found out how to get out. There is no way to get out this door except through this hole. So Ryann had to crawl out and bring her back.

surgery number 9 completed

We had a lot of time before surgery while we waited for Christopher's turn in the OR. He was in a good mood, we played with the nurses, read books and played Candyland, which he won!

this picture was taken right after I got my little man back. He was a Little upset at first but calmed down after I was able to hold him. We got to leave a few hours after surgery.

The last picture was Christopher this morning. He was in a good mood and glad to be home. When he moves he is however reminded that he just had surgery yesterday and he Will touch his side and say " that's sore" in his cute little kissy way.

It's Just a head wound

On Easter poor Christopher fell at my sister's and had gravel stuck in his head. He had two spots that possibly needed to be stitched shut but my sister and I decided rather then putting him through going to the hospital again we butterflied it shut. I figured even if there was a little scar that would be better then putting this little guy through more. After all he has another surgery scheduled for Monday and the truth if I was grateful that it was just a normal kid trauma.

Easter part 2

After church we headed to my sister's house for dinner and an Easter egg hunt. It was fun to be together and hard knowing that this will be our last Easter at their home for awhile.

What child labor laws?

I totally understand now why farmers had so many kids. They were a great help this past weekend helping clean up the outside of the house.Even the babies painted. Ok it was water but they sure had fun.

Blue and Gold Banquet

I forgot to post these pics of Alex at the blue and gold banquet for boy scouts. He was so excited to show us the skit that they had been working on. It actually was funny.

The past two weeks.......

John left for New Mexico two weeks ago. You know about the time of my last post. For some reason I have not had time to post but I wanted to add a quick post this morning. I love these few pictures of the babies together. I am so glad that they have each other. They love to play with each other now and fight sometimes. But right now even that is kind of cute. Since John left I have been taking care of the five kids and getting the house finished so that we can put on the market. You know finishing everything that we started over the past five years but never finished. Also on Monday I took Christopher to the doctor and when I told him we were moving he decided that he wanted to perform surgery on Christopher this Wednesday. We got lucky and now we get to wait a couple of weeks before that will happen now. I will post a date when I know one.
