Brandon is 18!

Yesterday was Brandon's 18th birthday. My sweet baby boy is now an adult, sort of. I am so grateful that I am his mother. I think that he likes having me as a Mom, except when we put silly hats on him and sing to him in public.(We do this about once a week) He is a great kid and loved very much! Those eighteen years went way too fast. The kids enjoyed Brandon's leftover's.

Walking again!

Christopher is doing so much better. The past two days he has been using his walker to walk around. I am sure that soon he will not even need it. For now it helps him to keep his balance and is helping him to regain strength in his legs. He is eating a lot better and is gaining back some of the weight that he lost. Hopefully he will be fully recovered by his birthday next week.

Ryann's violin recital

Ryann had her violin recital tonight. She did a great job as always. This video was taken tonight but not at the recital. On a side note Christopher finally took his first steps alone in almost three weeks!

We are seeing more of our silly Trey back everyday. He had follow ups with both doctors yesterday and he seems to finally be on the right track. Getting him to eat is still a little tricky but there is an improvement everyday.I even got to go to target for a whole hour all by myself last night.

Out of the woods?

On Friday we took Christopher back to the doctors due to all of the problems that he was having. They put him on a stronger medication for his stomach and let us take him back home.( I was pretty sure that they were going to put him back in the hospital) The doctor gave us his pager number and said to call if there was no improvement or if things got worse. Luckily for Trey things seem to be getting better. Each day is a little better then the last. He is slowly starting to eat again and hopefully will soon regain his strength. Thanks to everyone for the prayers and hopefully soon I can blog about happier times.

Ups and Downs

We have had a roller coaster of a week. There has been a lot going on but Christopher's recover is first on my mind. I had to take him to the ER at 3 am Wed. morning. He has been having a lot of stomach problems since surgery. Because of this he is not really eating much. I can tell that he is losing weight and feel so helpless to stop it. I almost took him back to the hospital last night because he was doing so poorly. We had the Bishop help John give him a blessing (A blessing given by a Melchizedek Priesthood holder, by the laying on of hands and by inspiration, to one who is sick or otherwise in need of special counsel, comfort, or healing. If the blessing is for the sick, consecrated oil is used (James 5:14–15).After we left church he was feeling a little better and even drank a little bit of a fruit and yogurt shake, which made me very happy! He seemed to be doing a little better this morning but after drinking chocolate milk he was in pain again. I am going to take him to the doctor later this afternoon and pray that they can help without putting him back in the hospital.

healing

Christopher is getting stronger everyday. He has tried walking a few times but it is still too painful. He is still as cute as can be. I was looking at his huge scar on his belly. This is a conversation between John and Christopher.
John : What happened to your belly?
Trey: They cut me.
John: Who cut you?
Trey: Those people cut me.

Home

We got to bring Christopher home last night. He is doing pretty well but is dealing with some pain now that he is off the good pain meds. He is still on pain medication it is just not as good as the stuff he got at the hospital. He seemed to be happy to get to leave the hospital. He is still not walking but at least he is small and easy to carry.Hopefully he will feel better everyday.

Food at last

Christopher was able to start solid food Saturday night, as you can see from the picture this made him very happy.
